The kimono is made of light and semi-transparent georgette fabric, which has been heavily decorated with traditional zardosi work.
Zardosi work is an ancient embroidery type, using of a combination of copper wire, with a golden or silver polish, and silk thread. In the embroidery are stones, beads and sequins incorporated, forming stunning Oriental and floral patterns.
All the embroidery is done by hand by skilled craftsmen, spending many days working on 1 garment.
The kimono is made of vintage saree's, from which the stunning fabrics are recycled into gorgeous kimono's. As the fabrics are vintage, the kimono may have carry light signs of its previous life.
The kimono is to be worn open or can be closed with 1 small hook.
