Antique Indian saree fabric with traditional zardosi embroidery.
Zardosi work is and ancient embroidery type, using of a combination of copper wire, with a golden or silver polish, and silk thread. In the embroidery there are stones, beads and sequins incorporated, forming stunning Oriental and floral patterns.
All the embroidery is done by hand by skilled craftsmen, spending many days working on 1 garment.
This fabric is about 40 to 50 years old.
Although the fabric has been dry-cleaned and checked in India, a minor stain and/or damage and/or signs of age may occur.
