Beautiful antique Afghan Kuchi dress, richly decorated with tribal patches, beadwork and traditional embroidery.

The skirt of the dress is made of Japanese acrylic serge fabric with screen-printed floral patterns. This fabric makes the dress a pleasure to wear.

Japanese acrylic serge is famous for its color fastness and vivid colors. With its strength and excellent lightfastness, acrylic fibre textiles can be used for a long time. It is commonly worn in Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and Central Asia, particularly such countries as Turkmenistan and Afghanistan (source: Dygo Corporation, Japan)

This dress is about 60 to 70 years old and is handmade with a lot of love, patience and skill.

This dress is not having pockets.

To preserve the authenticity of the dress, we do not clean, mend, repair, alter or wash them. The dress will be sent in the same conditions as we got it in from Afghanistan.

This dress is excellent to be worn on weddings, social gatherings, for traditional Afghan dances or it may become an eye-catching object in any exotic interior.

We recommend having the dress altered to your size and then having it dry cleaned.

This dress needs repairs and adjustments as it is in fair condition due to intense wearing and high age. Moth holes and minor stains are common and the border on the lowest part of the skirt may need replacing.
