Kantha fabrics are typical for the Indian Bengali region. They consists out of (sometimes a patchwork of) vintage colorful fabrics, united with a flat stitch.
This short kimono is made of vintage pure silk kantha fabrics. Although the fabrics are in excellent condition, some light traces of their previous life may be visible.
The kimono can be worn open or closed. The fabric belt for closing the kimono is made of the same fabrics as the kimono.
