A tulsi mala is made with natural beads from holy basil wood (tulsi in Hindi), interspersed with colored miniature beads.
In Indian beliefs, basil wood is holy and promotes good health, a peaceful mind and reduces stress. According to Indian religion, the wearer of a tulsi mala is blessed by Lord Krishna.
Because the natural basil beads are natural and brittle, it is possible that after several months, some beads will fall out. This is a normal natural process and it will give extra charm to the mala.
The natural tulsi beads are irregular in shape and each mala is handmade. This results in small differences in length (max. 1.5cm approx.) and color.
The mala closes with a screw closure.
