Traditional Afghan house shoes - slippers in knitted warm wool.
The sole of the shoes is made of leather, which will make the shoes less slippery and will protect your feet against cold floors or hot surfaces (Afghan sandy desert areas).
The house shoes are made in one piece, from the foot to about half way up the calf.
The house shoes are knitted by hand in small villages in Afghanistan by local women. By making and selling these shoes to traders, these local women can make some extra income.
These house shoes can be worn by women and men (unisex).
This pair of house shoes is on sale because the wool is spun rough and edgy.
