Handwoven with thick raw unkempt wool, these are the traditional patoo shawls from the Swat Valley and surroundings.
These patoo shawls are decorated with colorful pompom balls, making these patoo shawls a rare find. Each patoo is a unique item and a work of art!
Raw unkempt wool feels rougher and a little itchy, but it retains more heat between the wool fibers.
As the patoo's are traditionally handwoven, minimal differences in color, size and pattern may occur. Impurities in the wool are possible.
Each patoo is an artisanal product and therefore tiny imperfections might be possible.
It is a common use in Afghanistan and Pakistan to add naphthalene balls to textiles, to keep the fabrics bug free. This odour will disappear after a good airing.
Upon ordering, please select the number of the patoo of your choice. This is the number on the right upper corner of the picture.
