This beautiful earthenware serving dish dates from the early 1950's.
Dishes in this kind of material are also called 'sludge dishes' and are typical for The Netherlands for the era of the 16th - 17th century.
The colors and decorations which are used for this dish are mostly found in the Frisian province (northern part) of The Netherlands.
