Handwoven with thick raw unkempt wool, these are the traditional patoo shawls from the Swat Valley and surrounding areas.
Comparing the patoo's from this listing with our other listings: these patoo's have more colorful patterns, which needs much precision and skill of the weavers. Therefore these patoo's are more exclusive and special!
Raw unkempt wool feels rougher and a little itchy, but it retains more heat between the wool fibers.
As the patoo's are traditionally handwoven, minimal differences in color, size and pattern may occur. Impurities in the wool are possible.
Each patoo is an artisanal product and therefore tiny imperfections might be possible.
Each patoo is a unique item and a work of art!
It is a common use in Afghanistan and Pakistan to add naphthalene balls to textiles to keep the fabrics bug free. This odor will disappear after a good airing.
