The front of the waistcoat is fully covered with traditional colorful embroidery in Oriental and floral patterns, typical for the Rajasthan area. Some mirrorwork has been incorporated in the embroidered patters and flowers.
The back of the waistcoat is made of black cotton fabric and is decorated with 1 band of embroidery.
Inside, the waistcoat is lined with black cotton fabric.
The waistcoat does not have buttons, but it is worn hanging open or it can be closed with the binding ropes.
The binding ropes end on 2 tassels with beads, colorful pompoms and real Rudraksha seeds. Rudraksha seeds have a deep spiritual meaning and are also known as 'Tears of Shiva'.
